Text notifications

I am sending home a paper today that gives instructions for how you can sign up to receive text message reminders from me. This doesn't involve the exchange of phone numbers, it is very private, and really quite cool!

This would not replace the blog, which I will continue to do. This is more for quick messages like "Book-it forms due tomorrow." or "Report cards are going home today. Be sure to look in your child's folder tonight."

As a busy parent, I thought this looked neat. As organized as I try to be, I still overlook things. My thinking was to offer this as a way to help other busy parents. It is optional, of course! The sheet going home tonight gives instructions for how to sign up for this if you would like to participate.

Book-It

December book-it will be due this Friday, January 11th.

Christmas Play

Would a parent who videotaped or took pictures of the play care to share?? I took a few pictures, and I'm guessing that someone else might have taken some that are better :) If you would like to share, please send me a note or email. Thanks!!

Thank you!!

Thank you to all the parents who came in for our play and/or party and to those parents who sent in supplies for our party. This classroom cannot run without the help of supportive parents, and I so appreciate that support!!

Our next party will be for Valentine's Day, which falls on a Thursday. Seems far away, but in reality, I will probably be sending home notes for that in a few weeks. Time flies when you are having fun!!
